One ot my faves.

1/2 C. Crisco
1/2 C. butter
2 C. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 C. sour milk
3 1/2 C. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 C. nuts, chopped
2 C. glazed cherries (1 C. red, 1 C. green)
2 C. dates, chopped

Cream together Crisco, butter and brown sugar. Add rest of ingredients. Chill for 1 hour. Bake at 350º for 15 minutes.
