This was my Grandma’s recipe that everyone loved.
1/4 C. butter
1/3 C. cream
3/4 C. sugar
1/4 C. cocoa
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Mix and boil 1 minute. Pour over ice cream.
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1/4 tsp. salt
SAUCE:
1 C. catsup
2 T. sugar
1 C. soda cracker crumbs
3/4 C. milk
2 T. vinegar
2 T. Worcestershire sauce
Mix and form into balls. Put in a greased baking dish.
SAUCE: Mix and pour over the meatballs. Bake at 350º for 1 1/2 hours.
1 1/2 lbs. hamburger
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can cream of chicken soup
1/2 can milk
1 bag tater tots
Brown hamburger. Add the soup and milk; mix well. Put in a 9×13″ baking dish, Top with tater tots. Bake at 350º until the tater tots are brown and the middle bubbles.
OPTIONAL: Add vegetables or cheese before baking. (I don’t do either. Paul doesn’t like vegetables and I add cheese during re-warming to give the leftovers a different spin.)
